"Being
You" uses a blend of contemporary, clinical and native
traditional disciplines and values as a bases in all their
sessions.
As a husband and wife team, we work as co-therapists using
an integrated holistic approach to overcome and work through
issue, make changes and develop the weaker aspects of oneself.
It is our belief that inner-changes and development are the
core to personal and professional development and growth.
- Individual
Sessions
- Sessions
are available for adults who seeking individual or couple
counseling. Therapeutic sessions enable individuals
to safely work through issues mentioned while emphasizing
self-realization of one's life affirming values and qualities.
- Therapeutic
Training
- These sessions
are 3 to 10 days in duration are mainly done at Pinewood
Lodge Retreat & Training Centre.
Custom designed and delivered therapeutic Holistic Self-Care/Management
Training programs are available via contract for communities
members, caregivers, staff and organizations and can be
delivered on site.
- Staff
Development & Rejuvenation
- These sessions
are done as a Holistic Self-Care/Management Training program
using different themes.
The sessions are available from 3 to 7 days in duration
can be done at the Being You/Matheson Island Lodge Retreat
& Training Centre.
Custom designed and delivered therapeutic Holistic Self-Care/Management
Training programs are available via contract for communities
members, caregivers, staff and organizations and can be
delivered on site.
- Residential
Schools
- Eyaa-keen
Centre Inc. has contracted "Being You" Inc. to
deliver their own developed programs to address the legacy
of residential schools. "Being You" has been providing
service in this area since 1989.
The program currently running is The 'Next Step' Process
series, Integrated Holistic Approach to Wellness & Changing
the Legacy of Residential Schools.
A series of five and ten day residential sessions are available
for all survivors and decedents.

key inner and life changes necessary for maintaining a sense
of well-being

abilities to let-go and release old hurts, fears, traumas/shock
and their effects

ability to self-trust and to trust others

abilities to manage and handle stress

the causes for past and present conflicts within self and
their relationships

awareness of patterns in repeatedly forming destructive

and work through inner blocks and fears

cognitive and behavior strategies to reduce and/or eliminate

feelings and beliefs associated with parental child-rearing

decrease fear of rejection while increasing sense of self-acceptance
